Goldstein Museum of Design
An internationally recognized teaching museum located on the U of M ‘s St. Paul Campus, the Goldstein Museum collects, preserves, and documents late 19th- and early 20th-century clothing, textiles, decorative arts, and a graphic arts. The Goldstein mounts four or five special exhibits per year, some of which feature accompanying lecture series.

Guthrie Theater
Founded in 1963, this theater presents both classical literature and new work from diverse cultures.

Minneapolis Institute of Arts
The MIA's permanent art collection includes eighty thousand objects, spans five thousand years, and represents the world's cultures. The MIA has seven curatorial areas: Africa, Oceania, and the Americas; Architecture, Design, Decorative Arts, Craft, and Sculpture; Asian Art; Paintings and Modern Sculpture; Photographs; Prints and Drawings; and Textiles.

Minnesota Museum of American Art
Founded in 1927, this art museum in St. Paul focuses on American art and artists, past, present, and emerging.

Minnesota Orchestra
Founded in 1903, orchestra performs nearly 200 concerts each year. It also broadcasts concerts, to more than 120 radio stations nationwide, reach approximately 200,000 people each week.

Northern Clay Center
The Northern Clay Center focuses on the advancement of the ceramic arts. Their exhibitions feature the work of contemporary ceramic artists and also historical and architectural ceramics. They offer classes for children and adults, lease studio space, and sell the work of many ceramic artists in their shop.

Stuart Pimsler Dance Theatre
Community Inclusive Theatre that focuses on issues of caregivers and death and dying. Stuart Pimsler & Suzanne Costello, co-directors.

Textile Center
This organization dedicates itself to promoting and preserving the excellence of textiles. It offers classes in textile media, such as knitting and dyeing, as do its member organizations, such as the Upper Midwest Bead Society and Contemporary Quilters. Individuals can also be members and receive various discounts as a result.

Walker Art Center
Founded in 1927, the Walker Art Center was the first public art gallery in the Upper Midwest. The museum has focused on modern art since the 1940s. The organization also offers performing arts, film, and educational programs.
